After Thursday’s fiasco I hit a writers block. I had View Friday all ready to go so no worries there. Now I have reached a block, cue MEME time! Thanks to the MEME, it is always there in my time of need!

1. So what is with the a$$ kissing. Quirk number one is I am a bit of a smart-ass. Yeah I have a sharp tongue that has plagued me my whole life, I blame my father. As a child my lovely cousins Patty and her sister B would come and babysit me and my siblings . In true smart-ass form I was a devil child, I tortured my poor cousins . So much so that I am not surprised they didn’t strangle me and my sis with our Mary Lou Retton gymnastic leotards.
On one such occasion my sis and I ran downstairs after smarting off and quickly decided to do our “Fake cry laugh” into the pillow. Patty (or B) came downstairs saw us “crying” into our pillows, and was so concerned. Quickly sis and I sat up to see our tears were tears of laughter. Cruel yes, so the kissing of behinds, and a little shout out are in order for my past sins. The kicker is Patty and B never cursed me, I had great kids when I babysat – Thanks.
2. I always screw up making box mashed potatoes, I rather make homemade. I always over boil the milk water mixture the flakes have to go into and have a HUGE mess to clean! YUCK!
3. I am one of those people that think putting ketchup on a hotdog is sacrilege. Is that a quirk?
4. I have to have it completely dark to sleep- not a speck of light.
5. I am not neat but I am a freak.
6. I hate the taste of coffee that was warmed up in the microwave- I always make a fresh cup when my cup gets cold!

You are so funny! I don’t even remember that incident. In fact, I remember loving watching you. You and Thomas always helped me with Amanda. Maybe it is like childbirth…you forget the pain?

The Smart Ass Syndrome? I have that, too. Funny, our kids share a diagnosis and so, apparently, do we. Life’s weird.
Regarding the Smart Ass Syndrome, I remember being about 9 and having my father refer to me, in humor, as a Smart Ass. I also remember retorting with this,
“Well, dad, which would you rather have for a daughter; a Smart Ass or a Dumb Ass?”
He was Dumb-founded. Still talks about it even now…
